Appalachian Trail Women's 40+ Expedition #2001 $300
September 13-19: This a 7-day, 6-night backpacking trip on the historic Appalachian Trail specifically for women over 40 (or a bit younger but don't mind a slower pace). Whether you are a beginner who doesn't even own a backpack or you are a seasoned hiker, you will enjoy this journey on the AT. The pace will be slow and steady, averaging 4-7 miles a day. Don't let fear hold you back. If you have ever wanted to do a section of the AT, this is your chance!
You will meet together at the Wilderness Initiative offices in Acworth, Georgia on Saturday September 12, where you will be briefed and gear will be issued and checked. Then Sunday, you will be taken to a campsite near the trail head where you will camp overnight and have some hands-on guidance in preparation and then embark on your expedition.
